We're in an imaging epidemic. Everyone feels they "need" to see what's going you.
The truth is, you really don't...most of the time.
I also discuss loading a nagging injury to make the tissue adapt.
"Just going to rest it" is the absolute wrong approach and I briefly explain why later in the episode!

Justin has a long standing history of performing, coaching, and programming CrossFit workouts.
I have received a few questions on how to tell if a gym is legit or not, so I wanted to bring Justin on the podcast to discuss this.
Plus, Justin is the guy programming the Spicy Saturday workouts, so ya'll can now put a face to the name.

I had the pleasure of learning from Audrey about the entire process that goes into creating a clean looking skull mount.
She has been involved with taxidermy work since a young age, so skull work was a niche she wanted to tap into.
The cleaning, degreasing, and whitening process may surprise you with the little intricacies and nuances the process takes to create a lifelong, eye-candy type skull.

Louise and I discuss field care and home care guidelines to ensure you are delivering her a product she can turn into a beautiful piece of art that lasts for a lifetime.
Louise has won many awards for her taxidermy art, in a very short period of time.
Western and whitetail hunts ought to give this episode a listen for ideal ways to ensure the hide is in the best shape possible when you deliver it to a taxidermist.
Louise was kind enough to create a few YouTube videos for demonstration.

In this morning's episode, I cover:
What to expect for changes in your daily life and workout performance once you've started to be consistent.
Tips on being a solid role model
The differences between activity and exercise
Everyone's ability and desire to change is different; we're all at different points in life. Some people's goal is to be able to get up from their recliner to go to the bathroom to stay out of the nursing home, and others have a goal of climbing the tallest mountain peaks.
Change is scary...especially as we grow older. We become more resistant to change. Change is usually outside our comfort zone, where growth happens. Once we see the benefits of change, we look back and realize it wasn't all that bad.

The Brain’s Integration of Visual Cues for Spatial Awareness:
Drew and I discuss how the brain processes and integrates visual information.
For example, motion on a screen, to maintain spatial awareness and balance, the brain draws a comparison to the shaky camera effects seen in movies, to the area around the TV.
With movies, the brain can distinguish between actual movement and just visual motion on the screen. If it couldn’t, we’d have major issues with action films like the Bourne Trilogy.
Drew and I also cover the use of massage and muscle tension treatment for managing cervicogenic dizziness. Massage/trigger point release is a tool very often used in clinics; sometimes not the correct choice in the initial management of someone's symptoms.
Drew highlights the importance of maintaining cervical stability and proprioceptive capabilities, and the need for a gradual reduction in muscle tone to avoid disorientation and worsening of symptoms.

Time is something we never get back.
Where are your priorities at? Do you need to find a different environment to be in? Who's counting on you to set a solid, positive example?
I hear this phrase every day at work. No-one has time for things they don't see as a priority.
Either your health is a performance enhancing priority and a luxury now; or, it is inhibiting and a priority of nuisance later.
Ultimately, the choice is yours.

Mastering the Art of Walking Through the Woods: A Guide for New Hunters
Hunting isn’t just about shooting animals, it’s about having the skills to navigate through the woods quickly, and efficiently.
It’s about slowing down the pace of life, and getting to be present in the moment.
Ken also enjoys incorporating the organ meats into his diet for the high nutrient density, especially liver pate. His passion is showing others how to utilize as much as the animal as possible for the hunting situation they are in.
The idea of showing up as a complete rookie to hunting, to possibly going home with packaged meat sounds like a win in quite a few different ways.
Ken drops a lot of knowledge for the rookie western hunter on this podcast episode.
